The ideal candidate will be familiar with various development technologies and environments and fluent in multiple software development environments and the use of development tools.

This person will need to:

" be able to understand the SDLC model and what their specific activities are in delivering a solid, robust application;
" to understand coding standards and source code development standards;
" to develop code that is clean, understandable, maintainable and solid;
" to develop and implement solid test plans to accurately test the application code, functions, modules and program; and
" to maintain detailed and accurate documentation per all project standards.

Required skills include:

1. Development experience with C#, ASP.NET and .NET framework technologies (i.e. .NET Remoting, MSMQ, Web Services, etc.).
2. Thorough working knowledge of the application development processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to applications projects.
3. Sound understanding of OO principles as applied to software development.
4. Strong programming, code development, code debugging and testing skills, troubleshooting skills, and experience with numerous operating systems, development environments, programming languages and architectures.
5. Experience in executing a software implementation plan.
6. Knowledge and experience with SQL and software interaction with databases such as Oracle through APIs such as OCI and ODBC.
7. Strong decision making and problem solving skills (i.e. design, debugging and testing) and experience with software development projects.
8. Excellent communications skills.
9. Excellent ability to understand and express complex topics.
10. Demonstrated leadership and attention to detail skills through prior experience at the tactical / implementation levels.
11. Ability to coach, mentor and train personnel (i.e. software developers) within a technical organization.

Education / Experience:
(i) Microsoft .NET Certifications, AND
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, AND
(iii) At least 3 (three) years of experience in software development using object-oriented languages, AND
(iv) At least 1 (one) year of experience in software development using .NET, OR
(v) Relevant combination of education and experience.
(vi) Preferred: Master’s degree in a similar / related field
